I have seen those,in fact my wildcamping mate had one..

You would be better off getting the mini trangia as it is perfect for one pot cooking,or reheating home made meals,however it is far more than that,I've done some proper,proper nice meals with it. Simply the mini is far more than most realise ..of its caperbilities..

It's all integral,for example,..if you want a coffee,measure out the amount in your cup,put that on the burner,stand,firstly,after this you can fry on the little frying pan,cook,boil,reheat you just have to think it through ..

You will need a windshield,end of..I made mine from silver foil and it wraps around the fuel bottle,I base my trips on burner fills,so one one fill,I can cook my dinner have a cuppa,so for most over night sessions I base it on two burner fills,in a 100 ml bottle..

Or,get a Trangia triangle,and burner and add your own bits,my fave system by is the 27 ul,with non stick fry pan,if you get a 27ul,bin the alloy frypan and get the non stick..

I have used my 28mini,for three day carping trips,bike laning,and wild camping,

This looks very interesting.

I only really eat soup or the odd homemade sauce which needs reheating quickly.

What fuel is used with it and is it cheaper than gas?

I personally use meths,methylated spirit,or bio ethanol..

I find it very cheap to run..

I also use a lixada stick stove,which uses a tatonka,or trangia burner ,gel or small natural pencil sized dry wood,but its best to use a Msr seagull 775 pot for that as it has an extra long handle..

Hope that helps,I like my Trangia 27 ul custom best,so reliable

I have a burner similar to Baptist which works great but I have only used it for tea and coffee. I have seen a video from that fella where he does roast beef which is amazing out of one small pot.
