Im looking to scale down from my jag stainless pod. Anyone have any recommendations for a lightweight but sturdy rod pod? Not interested in sticks, just pods.

I bought a Solar A1 GT on a whim because a local lad was selling it cheap(ish) and only used once . . .
Coming from a brilliant (but heavy) Fox Quattro that I've been using for decades I was originally going to get the Solar A1 ground pod but I thought I'd give this model a go first . . .
Must say I'm actually impressed - much lighter and more compact than my previous pod, well made and sturdy. Not as much height adjustment as I'm used to but I've got a set of both 6" & 9" legs to accommodate most situations . . .
The buzz bars can be 'reversed' for transit meaning alarms and butt rests can stay in place and still fit in the small pouch its supplied with . . .the only slight weirdity is the slightly elongated central support bar (that comes in a separate sleeve and clips to the main pouch) but this just sits in my rod bag in a side pocket with storm poles etc. . .
I do use a bungee and peg attached to the rear fixing bolt as I don't trust legs that are at an angle but all in all this a good bit of kit and I'll continue to use it on my current water for the foreseeable . . .

I can second the "Sonik Vader x pod", cheap and cheerful and does its job and lightweight. I also use my narrower Cygnet bars on it and I have a feeling if I just wanted to use two rod bars, then they would fit too. The only issue I find with it, is the sticks sometimes can be a bit too small as I like to push them into the ground to secure the pod better than leaving it freestanding. But, I have now resolved that issue, as I found my JRC banksticks fit perfect too.

May have already been said, but the MPS trident panther in Titanium is an outstanding pod. If you then get army andy to make a bag for it, the setup and packdown takes seconds.
