I am looking to start using a liquid for added attraction and it seems like BAF is the company people rate the most on here. Which of their hydros would you recommend?
I have never used a liquid before and would like to know how it is best applied and used?

Maybe you could tell us if you're rolling your own bait or do you wanna use an additional liquid combined with bought bait or particles?

I want to use it with premade bait. Is that way still effective?

Not BAF (or maybe it is) but I've used DNA S7 hydro spod (wheat) to over roll S7 boilies before, included it in a particle mix and in a method paste mix.
I also have hydro fish (BAF I think) not the most pleasant of smells but again I've used it as above, all to good effect.

How do you apply a hydro to boilies? Do you have to soak them in it for 24 hours?

The longer you soak the better. I do several coats (hydro and powdered additives)
It takes some time but very effective

Ynneks advice is spot on. Personally I tend to use the hydros with loose feed when abroad when I want to build a swim quickly with maximum attraction, typically I would coat the boilies overnight for use next day. I wouldn't hesitate to use it here but unfortunately my fishing is limited and the way I fish doesn't really justify it at the mo.
EDIT, forgot, I do use hydros here but as part of a method mix.

Can you say it's definitively upped your catch rate?

Yes, I can. Lots of attraction for a quick instant bite. But I also gives you an edge when you compete with other anglers.

Use a fish/liver hydro and thin down with fish sauce so it will absorb into the bait or its really only coating the outise 1mm.
