There seems to be several camo lines that have different colours throughout the length of the mono.
Has anyone compared the lines or have any experience with them?
How camo are they, abrasion resistance etc.
Fox, Avid, Prologic, and I'm sure a few other brands do them.
I'm a braid man but unfortunately not all places allow braid!

I used a prologic one a few years ago,xlnt I think it was called, on my floater setup. Brilliant stuff it was ,lovely and supple and very well behaved

There's a certain way I want to fish a syndicate I've just joined.
My line will be within weed in the the upper layer, I need the line to blend in as much as possible.

Line colour - it maybe camo in our eyes but to a carp can they tell any difference - I'm not so convinced .
It's surely more about touch in a carps sensory world so maybe fishing in the weed is more about keeping the line slack (be it whatever colour of the rainbow the line is)

I didn't really put it through its paces as was only used for floater fishing ,again the camo thing didnt really make any noticeable difference to standard mono for that

I agree re touch.
When I say “camo”, I meant different colours along the length.
I've fished in weed with braid a lot and I can assure you that using a marker pen to break up that laser-like colour of standard line really helps

I've just spooled up with 18lbs Avid Outline.
It seems really supple and the line looks pretty fine. Not sure the cammo will make much of a difference but I suppose it breaks up the line compared to the usual line. I am usually a flouro user but for my French trip it needs to be over 17lbs mono
I'll let you know how I get on and how it behaves
