I've just been watching a ton of YouTube videos on the fishspy it looks so much easier finding features instead of feeling with a lead
Being able to see what the lake bed in full vision seems bloody amazing

I've not used mine yet but setup was simple and the picture good (not tried in water yet), so seeing as it was on sale I thought I'd get one as an additional help. I suspect it will be a great help on the right waters and for the price it's gotta be worth a go.
Could also be used on a baitboat for close up positioning under branches etc if wanted. I paid roughly the same price for a mini camera with transmitter and receiver screen for the boat, makes dropping at very long distance a lot easier, although the camera I got will work well over 200 yards and the fishspy only upto about 100

I got one when they were first released and found it to be utter garbage. Poor camera quality in gin clear water and continuously losing connection over 20 yds out . The fish spy echo is just as bad , I've tried that as well

If I go down the underwater camera route again I'll scour the internet and find something that's actually fit for purpose.

The signal is poor over 50/60 yard. I no longer own one as it is an absolute pizz about as the recording is obviously not live. It did come in handy acouple of times to see if my baited area had been touched close in

I like mine, I use it mounted on a bushwhacker spoon along with a deeper chirp and I also cast it and have no problems up to about 80/90 yards provided mobile data is switched off.
With gin clear water I can easily see down to 1.5m on the bushwhacker and its been great for me when casted out, good too for finding clear spots in weedy waters.
Good bit of kit imo

How is the footage when the water isn't gin clear?
I bought one when they reduced from AD haven't been able to connect to either android pad or iPhone even when putting the link into a search engine so very frustrated at the moment!! It's shame as a couple of waters I fish are gin clear and would prove useful seeing how much bait may be in the swim at any given time, height of weed, clear spots etc so yeah not happy!!
