Looking for a 3mtr extending landing net handle Have found Drennan and Gardner Any comment as to the best or has any one found alternative ??

I've been using the Drennan Specialist handle for a fair few years, cracking piece of kit.
Only critique, it only takes a small turn to go from lock to extend, if you over undo it sometimes you have to take the poles apart and tighten the inner expanding bung manually so its a snug fit and grips again, not a buggy.

I have the both Drennan and Gardner for my barbel fishing down the rivers the Gardner is more of a heavy duty pole bit heavier than the Drennan the Drennan is a slimmer handle and its lighter in weight
if I was expecting to catch fish over 30 lb I would get the Gardner but both would do the job if you were careful with the Drennan IMO

Just my thoughts Gerry, I bought the Drennan based on your recommendation (thank you) but I wouldn't have bought it unless I thought it was quite strong as I have a tendency to stand on my net poles
to date it's been trodden on numerous times and landed multiple fish over 40 to 55lb without issue, it was/is a great buy 
I am thinking of a second net pole, might give the Gardner a go for that one.

I've got the Gardner 3 metre extending net handle for fishing rivers with high banks, as Gerry says would handle large carp no problem although I wouldn't want to find out if it would take being stood on.

Like Gerry ive got the gardner and the drennan and they are both excellent but if i had to keep just one it would be the gardner as its more heavy duty and stronger all round.
