Hi guys, looking for a bit of advice on a new bivvy and whilst browsing came across the Trakker slx v3 which seems to tick all the boxes. What I'd like to know is should I get a 1 man or 2 or maybe another bivvy suggestion? I'm 6 foot 4 so need some headroom and I also want to be able to put my bed chair at the back of the bivvy but still have room at the front for a chair to sit on when the weather's bad with the door closed. So what do you say guys am I on the right track and what do you suggest. Thanks in advance.

Go for 2 man 1 man is only 130H
If you can find one Armo v4 or go for a Frontier xd if it fits in your budget.

Whilst the trakker SLX v3 is good the rear vent is rather small. I have the plus version for Foreign trips so speak from experience.

I now use an Avid Ascent 1 man for UK fishing with the wrap and the vent system is vastly superior, I'd suggest you take at look at the 2 man if your looking for plenty of room, I'm seiously thinking of getting the 2 man myself as they are so good... Approx £330 for the 2 man plus 130 ish for the wrap so it's well priced as well.

I have the slx v3 2 man it's great as I like my space and can be untidy sometimes on the bank so it's great if you like a big area to chill out in

Do not underestimate the interior space of the Frontier Xd, because of the flat/high rear/side you get a lot of interior space, compared to the Trakker T150 315 x 255, the XD has almost as much interior space

Thanks for the reply guys. I'm not looking for loads of space but just want to be able to put a chair in as well as my bed chair. Being tall I just hate sitting on the side of my bed, much prefer a proper seat. I'm going to measure my bivvy tomorrow and compare it with what's been mentioned

only possible problem with some of these huge bivvies mentioned you would need really big pegs to fit them in

I've got the SLX 2 man and can't fault it. Bought it for when my boy comes with me but to be honest I love the space so will probably just sell the my one man armo and stick with the SLX. I'd say it's ideal for a bedchair and chair if that's what your looking for and the footprint doesn't feel that much bigger in terms of space in the swim.

Yeah I did think about that. I'll measure my old one tomorrow, at least I'll have something to go by comparing to what I have now.

The Frontier XD will give you the most interior space for the least amount of outdoor space, it is a spacious 1.5 man bivvy but with outside dimensions of most 1 many bivvy's

If height doesn't matter Armo v4/Slx v3 2 man, Cyprinus Typhoon Mh, Tempest 150, but with all those bivvy's you will lose alot space inside if you but the bedchair at the back

Frontier Xd and the new comming Nash titan hide xl camo pro have a flat back.

I have the 1 and 2 man. You will def need the 2 man if you want to put the chair inside. Cant fault either bivvy. Enough space for me and the dog.

Just what I needed to know, cheers mate. Do you find you need the overwrap during the colder weather?

I have the slx v3 plus with inner capsule, overwrap is not needed imo in colder weather if you use the inner cassule but i bought the Armo v4 plus wrap it fits the slx v3 100% and was only £43.

The is also a Trakker Slxx150 this is the new name for the Slx v3 2 man (same bivvy just different name)

You can get a chair in a 1man sized armo if you have bed front to back. Its a bit of a squeeze as the leg end of bedchair will touch the fabric .... but there is plenty of room for the chair and gear on other side. Ive set up this way for years. I also have a 2man Amo and that just feels massive for anything but long stay
