So, riddle me this - they say buying this system will save you money?
You buy the kit, then you probably would get at least the small and large pouches, possibly all three. Hang on, why don't they offer a mixed pack of three pouches in S/M/L? Hmmm... anyone worked this out yet? OK, now we want the different elastics, probably best to get at least three of those and a spare medium.

No matter how good or bad this catapult is, the fact remains you could buy two or three really good catapults for half what all this junk will cost - and let's face it, three catties hardly weighs much or is inconvenient to cart around... and having said all this, I was in Johnson Ross yesterday and saw at 3 people buy the whole shebang

each to their own,but one thing I do notice in and around carp fishing is alot of people are more concerned what other people are doing than what they are themselves....if I got 200 sheets left at the end of the month after my kids are fed and clothed,my bills are paid,all house maintenance and car maintenance up to date,who cares what I spend my money on...I tell you who cares...most of the other carpers on the bank care...

Pretty cynical view point, but I get what you're saying - people want all the latest gear, no matter what. But I am cash rich, if that's the right term? I could frankly spend what ever I like on gear, when ever I wanted, but I wouldn't waste my hard earned on a con like this just to impress someone else! You do see it all the time, but I think these people are in the minority when it comes to how successful they are when it comes to catching carp. Noddy see, Noddy do

I assume you use ron Thompson alarms, NGT rods and a hokey kokey bivvy from go outdoors and drive round in a 1997 nissan primera. Or do you sometimes spend a little bit extra just because its nice to have nice things?

Well, you assume wrong and totally miss the point. I've got around ten grands worth of gear, all top end, it's nearly twenty if you count my boat/outboard/sonar/etc. 1997 Nissan? That may be your dream car,. Me? Since you asked? I have a 21 plate Audi RS4 Vorsprung Ed. and a 20 plate Porsche 718 GT4 are sitting on my drive. No mortgage as well, paid that off a couple of years ago. Feeling jealous yet... I could go on... yes, I have plenty of spare cash, but am not stupid enough to fall for the con we are talking about here. But, you fill your boots mate, one botn every minute, as proven by some of the comments now forthcoming

it just seems to happen all the time these days, I haven't got the catapult in question,I do have 3 or 4 other catapults I use,when these eventually break will I replace them with the jag one..possibly and for one reason and one reason only...im sick of catapult elastic twisting all the time when in use,I spend more time untwisting between each use of the catapult...so if the jag one solves just that one thing alone,then I'm in

You've kinda just blown your own argument there really.
If I had all the money you've got. I wouldn't buy an Audi sports car. I'd actually buy an old knackered beetle and restore it. That would give me way more pleasure than a racing car. I think anyone who spends tens of thousands on cars is a bit mental. But I'd never criticise you for it. A customer of mine bought an F50. He paid well over a million quid for it. I wouldn't. He did. I'm not wrong and neither is he.
But each to their own. You like to spend what you want to on what you think are nice cars. Other people want to spend their spare money on other things that they like. Live and let live.
If you don't want to buy a jag catapult then don't. Given the fact that the first production run has already nearly sold out. Plenty of others disagree with your view point.
As a side note I happen to know a lot of people who work at JAG and I've had the pleasure of spending time away with a lot of them. They are decent people. JAG/UPE has many members of different families all working in the same business. Lots of local employees. Lots of the outsourced stuff is also done by other small uk firms, like the injection moulding, the plating etc. This is a business that last year could have closed its doors and took thousands of pounds in furlough money. Actually instead they repurposed their machines to make ventilator parts and testing kits. Machines that are probably as we speak now still saving lives in other countries. They aren't out to “con” anyone. I think you saying that is a bit strong.

I agree with a lot of what you say, ultimately it is if the end users sees the value in it
Looking from another perspective, I have an ESP pult and have for many years, wouldn't use anything else, does everything I need, fires bait out perfectly and cost around £15 now?
I think the point is, £70 for a catapult for firing bait out, it sets the benchmark and opens the market up for inferior equipment (we know Jag is quality) but watch a lot of others follow suit...£
Not long before we are paying £50 for a plastic piece of ****, that's my concern
