One of the stainless butt caps has come loose off one of my Hi-S, which is the best type glue to refit it please?

I would use a two part epoxy like araldite. Make sure you scrape off as much of the old adhesive as possible and clean both surfaces first.

Put it in hot water and prise it out.simples
