Having done some on the Ouse I'm now looking at the Medway to escape the crowds. What's the best clubs with access to decent stretches. Not looking for spots and people to tie me rigs etc

Some lovely carp have come out at waterinbury and my mate had a few nice ones out up by the rowing club by maidstone east.

👍🏻. Not trying to learn any info other then who runs what. I've done the Ouse and know all about doing the leg work but if I find a stretch that's controlled by somewhere I can't get on it's a waste of time.

I believe RTWAS is / was closed to new members they control a fair few sections of the upper regions
Maidstone Victory might be worth a look

Drive my train over that maidstone east stretch, that outlet pipe into the medway pushes alot of water through. Always fancied a go there.

Neil waytes river carping book has a chapter on the medway, I fear its been done to death though, carp move walk it all

I need to work out how much time I've got. I've still got a stretch of the Ouse at my disposal that's very lightly fished and barely fished for the carp

I wouldn't hang around too long mate, there's a seal that has become trapped in the Maidstone stretch now and it's been seen to be eating quite a few carp.
Also heard reports of otters further down towards Tonbridge now as well, though not sure how true this is tbh with you.
Clubs i know that control certain stretches of the Medway are, Cranbrook, Linton, Maidstone Victory and Tonbridge.

Have a look from the Malta Inn upto Maidstone Town centre you'll find plenty, although quite it is not, Wateringbury definitely worth a shout though
