Strange post but has anyone ever modified the original fox illuminated euro swinger to be used with DELKIM TXI+ (previous generation) . I currently have some at home that seem wasted and would love to convert. Any tips on what is involved?

I would imagine that the jack plug would need cutting off and replacing with the 3.5mm plug. I would also test the output of a fox and delkim jack plug as they maybe different. Unlikely but possible.

Simply reverse the polarity and they will work. As said you need to cut off the sealed end jacks, replace them with some from your local electronics outlet, test which you want as pos or neg against the output socket, solder up and seal with sealant and screw up the socket end. Job done.

Yeah I thought as much. Just with regard to reversing polarity. I seen a clip on youtube for the latest version of these swingers and the guy just switched the LED to change the polarity. I presume this is what you both mean. Changing the jack to 3.5mm is no issue but I was also considering a jack extension 2.5 to 3.5 which you can get.

Yep👍 I just remembered that when I did it I built new swingers using the Fox swinger bits and Matrix fittings so I had to cut off the jack plugs. As you are using the swingers in their own right just switch the polarity on the LED's and use Jack plug step-ups 👍

If you want to avoid cutting off the Jack plugs I did it this way for a friend, buy a 3.5mm mono male Jack plug and a 2.5mm mono female Jack plug fitting, you want the type that have the plastic screw on shroud. There's 2 ways of doing it either solder the wire's opposite (so let's say - would be +) and simply shrink tube them together, or as I did don't use the shrouds and fit into a small tube once soldiered fill with araldite to waterproof this way I ended up with a male to female reverse polarity extension of about 2cm. This way if you change your mind the fox swingers are not altered

oooh interesting. I like this idea but I am unsure about you ended up with a male to female reverse polarity extension. Is it a shop bought component or are you just getting a reverse polarity by doing it on the jack end as apposed to doing it at the LED? I would really be interested in knowing.

Yes basically, there shop bought but without any soldiered wire's attached for you to make up yourself, I use a multi meter to determine how they should be as a normal extention but then solder my wire's wrongly is the only way to put it so positive becomes negative, there penny's on eBay search for Jack plugs with the size required, when I did it it was just a trip to maplins but sadly they've gone now , I've tried post photos on here before but gave in other wise I could had shown the parts
