I have some Shimanno Bait Runner 1000s; how do I go about maintaining them and oiling them?
I've never oiled a reel in my life and literally have no idea where to start.
I've had a Google everyone seems to be taking their reels apart into loads of small pieces! Wouldn't really feel comfortable doing that as I can't imagine I'd be able to put it back together....
I guess what I'm asking is 'where do I put the oil?'.

There was a thread a few weeks ago and some guy put a link up. Was called something along the lines of "Home Servicing Reels", do a search.

For a quick after session reel service google Alan hawk reel service, he tells were to put oil and where to put grease....
If you want an all singing and dancing reel strip and service I'd send them off to a specialist such as tackle box or another reputable company
