Hey guys, sorry for the lowkey broken english in advance.
Long story short, theres this lake at our summerhouse where we released a bunch of mirrors commons and grass carps like 10-13 years ago. Never really bothered to feed them since the lake is rich with weeds and other stuff. The main problem is that we only managed to catch them for the first 1-2 years while they were still dumb and would bite anything that comes into the water, after they grew abit bigger, the bites stopped aswell. The fishes havent seen any boillies, pellets or any kind of artificial baits in their entire life. Im planning to go there to stay for some time next week, and was hoping to try and catch atleast one carp during that time, but not quite sure how to approach everything. Any tips on what baits, rigs to use? The lake is quite shallow (arround 1.5-2 meters maximum) and with a thick layer of mud on the bottom.

If you can get down before you plan to fish and put pre bait with your chosen bait and then return and fish the same spots you'd probably have a reasonable chance at catching one

Was thinking about going there a couple times this week to spod a bit. Not sure about the rigs i should use. afraid that when using something like in-lines with sinking boillies+half of a pop up, the lead would drag the whole rig to the bottom of that mud and carps wouldnt be able to see them, so maybe pop ups would be the best option

Fish feed in the silt, don't worry about it. If you can, prebait with trout pellets and corn, simple running rigs and use the same on the hook.

Will try to get some trout pellets tomorrow. dont really want to use corn as bait on the hooks because of the insane amount of breams and crucians in the lake that will instantly grab it. but fishy flavour pellets might work. Thanks

Ehh thats gonna be a problem too then. Will be catching 200g breams 24/7. What about boillies? Are there any colours or flavours that wild ones might like (something like shellfish or any other fish smelling types , or fruity and sweet ones) than the others? Or should i just mix and try all the ones i have?

I would fish tiger nuts but dont go mad chucking lots in !!!! you will cut your own throat !
instead fish over some hemp this will get the attention of other fish and the carp should follow
cook them in coca cola or pineapple flavoured water and drill and cork your hook baits so they slowly sink this has worked well for me for years

I'd try a decent red fishmeal boilie, carp love em, but they also seem the best for drawing the natural food in. If it's got liver in the mix even better

Big boilies, nothing too fishy though because of the bream, and nuts. Mix of Tigers and peanuts but as said not too many. Keep things simple and try and find the fish and where they feed and you shouldn't go too far wrong
