As a quick rough guide, soak for 24 hours in warm water. Then boil for 20 minutes, place into an air tight container with the liquid for 3 to 4 days in a warm place and then the slime should be there...

As post 2, although imo a 20 min boil isn't really long enough, 30-35 mins for me

Definitely not salt! You could add sugar but to be honest mine has worked fine without. It is more important to make sure they are completely air tight.
And yes boil time could be increased minimum of 20 minutes after bringing to boil. Also depends how long you have soaked them as I do sometimes soak for 36/48 prior to boiling.

I'm not 100% sure the best way to store/ keep tiger nuts and for how long once prepared.
My only experience is using the 400g tins of ready prepared tigernuts and I usually get through the tin in two or three short sessions.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Just freeze them, preferably vac pack session packs as you don't need tons each trip!

After boiling my tigers, I put them in a bucket with a lid and add 1 brown Trappist beer per 5kg.
Rinse the bucket and lid with boiling water before use.
Keep the tigers in for a couple of days and they are perfect!
