Bought some older shimano ultegra xt 10000, and the reels are mint, very smooth and heavy made in Japan etc... But what I didn't realise was the spools don't have line clips? I just assumed every reel had a line clip, how wrong of me. So any companies that I can send or even take the reels too to get one added to each spool?

Those same reels have been sold a few times on ebay, and im sure each buyer has missed the lack of line clip as the older reel has the "line holder"
My original shimano long casts had this line holder but i managed to get a shimano replacement from felindre that retro fitted into the long slot and worked perfectly, but this was many years ago.
As the reels are so good id be happy to drill the spool and fit a sprung loaded replacement clip from south coast custom tackle.

I didn't get them off ebay mate and I had the 12000 xta before which I lived but only had two and could never find a third so sold them... I thought these would be pretty similar and they are... Except the bloody line holder thing hahaha but I'll get it sorted.

Bit fiddly to get the C clip on but thats the only trouble i had. I think its the japanese models that came with no line clips, just line holders.
