Hello all,
Looking for new lakes around Peterborough / Spalding / Lincoln area. Don't mind to travel. Ideally something in rural area..trees around, lily pads, not overstocked. Getting bored of my local small water, needs new challenge.
Thank you.

Have a butchers at some of the embryo waters around Peterborough . Also look at putting your name down on some of the syndicate . Northey park is a cracking water depends how much you want to spend and how long you want to wait to get a ticket

If you're new to carp fishing there are some decent lakes around maxey to get you started, the Maxey syndicate opposite Gerard's is a nice lake, alot of features and alot of fish to go at, nothing collosal but it's a good place to learn on and won't break the bank. Or it didn't about 6 years ago

And that is exactly the right answer, no place better to learn the life of stepping up to be a proper carper.

I'm hoping it's stayed the same over the years, well stocked with mid to high doubles and maybe a 20 here and there. I only ever fished it as a guest but would have loved a ticket on there when I was starting out
