I've seen recently on a club lake I fish that particles seem to be out fishing boilies massively. Has anyone else noticed this?

A guy recently put in 5kg of sweetcorn and maize and ended up having the biggest fish in the lake when it's been fishing pretty hard.

My only concern has been the large head of tench and bream in one of the lakes which is why everyone is on boilies only.

Imo it's the same old cycle of pressure... Boilies work until they become wary of the size of the food and particles become king. I've had this a few times on my waters and my standard approach is to then use a particle boilie. Thin slabs of cooked basemix chopped into particle size pieces, devastating.

A lot of hatches, fry, spawn around at the moment, fish have plenty of choice.

Like said if most are using boilies only then an alternative is crying out to be used.

Bream on one of my waters looked like they were starting to gear up for spawning, so may be preoccupied, might of enabled the guy to get away with the particles on your lake if they are doing similar?

Have happily used particles on heavy bream waters very successfully, pretty much specific spots in the edge being the winners, give it some thought, you may work something out.

yes, i've scored heavily with particles on boilie dominated waters, giving them something different is a massive edge
Are you sure?
