Hi all, I'm looking for a cheaper version of the nash shroud or somthing that does the same job for when the warmer dryer weather is here for some quick over nighters before work. Somthing I can easily pack away in a few minutes. Does anyone know of anything that will do the job tia.

Get an army basha. Cost about £10, you just need one storm pole and half a dozen pegs. I've done plenty of nights under mine even in winter.

Had a look on my eBay purchase history and I paid £13 for a grade 1 basha, but can't find much under £20

My 7 by 8 ft grade one basha was 29 quid delivered, was cheapest I found at the time...I did have and used all the time a rip stop army poncho,that was good as well...
I take a single walking pole,and some cut down pegs,that's what I do ,I trim the T ,part back and smooth them off,I also use a lixada twig stove for a bit of fun..or a Trangia burner,mixing things up..
Tarping is good fun,until the wind get gets up then it can morph into a survival mode situation...lol
I also use my tarp as a barrow cover,and a top hat on the old mk1 armo..
Planning on getting a Dutch goretex,central zip bivvy so if it rained,you'd be better protected

Have a look at Bex bugoutsurvior on you tube,you'll get some good tarpology,ideas from guys like him..
I use the plow point,plus drip line mainly,single Tresspass 135cm pole,double ended..(fishing is for weekends,bushcraft after,before work,deploy,and delete of trace)
