Nash is only 150 watts ... imo you are better off with buying a Nash trax evo mk2, buy 2 extra wheels and a diy +250 watt wheel barrow, will save you a lot of money too.

. . .no experience of the Big Boy but to be honest I never will . . .its ridiculously huge and looks like a tractor . . .I only carry enough gear for 48hrs, not 3 weeks!

Use the barrow of your choice (Fox seems popular) and put a 350 watt wheel hub on it. Plenty of videos detailing ebike controllers plus you can decide on your battery power size. I've got 2 x 15Ah batteries on charge as I write this. Totalling £380 for the conversion.
I'll have the usual ignition, throttle and battery display plus cruise control, regenerative breaks, reverse and lights (may even put under light neon tubes on it). I may even use the anti-theft alarm and keyed ignition. The Bluetooth remote control and dash board and automated gun turrets seem a little ott.
A few are upgrading their jaggernaughts using alternatives motor arrangements.

I have the Nash power barrow and although not steep hills, it's been brilliant so far.
I was toying between the two earlier in the year and following various feedbacks/comments I got the Nash one rather than waiting on the new Porter. As stated below, it looks MASSIVE! The Nash one packs down really well and the front when isn't any bigger than a normal barrow.

I've been using the Nash power metro for a few months now, since before Christmas, and it's brilliant, I've not had to take it up any extreme hills, but fairly steep inclined banks, and it handles it with ease, great for loading onto the back of vans too, just drags itself on haha, battery life is unreal too, aside from the initial full charge I still haven't needed to charge it! And I go every weekend, it's actually only just recently gone down to halfway of the battery

I'm in a privileged position with this question my old man owns the big boy and my brother owns the Nash metro...
If your the type to take everything and the kitchen sink get the big boy, it won't struggle at all with hills even with two people worth of gear on it.
If you want a power barrow with a footprint and pack down size akin to the fox explorer barrow get the Nash metro it can cope with hills just fine with 1 persons worth of gear.
If I was to buy one myself after seeing both I would purchase the Nash metro due to it being just as compact as my fox explorer.

£900 is a ridiculous amount of money for a barrow. £180 for a standard metro barrow, making the power element £720. Why is it that much more?

You must be fishing a very small water, not taking hardly anything and not going a lot to have not even charged your battery with power still left in it.

I've got the new Power Porter, the thing is fantastic, literal life saver. I don't get why people keep yabbering on about how big they think they are, they're not that big. The only difference between my old MkII porter and this is the larger wheels, they both pack down to the same size with the handle all bundled together.
I only take what I need; I'm not a bivvy table type of guy. What I do take does weigh a fair bit which I'll easily estimate is over 100kg... bedchair 15kg, bivvy 15kg, water 20kg, rod bag 10kg, big bag 30kg possibly, unhooking mat with gear inside it, 5 to 10kg, bait 5 to 10kg, more if I'm baiting up plus food for either a weekend or a week.
I fish a 100+ acre pit currently, I reckon I could lap it twice. Yeah I'm sure I could lighten the load, but with anything like that there's comprimises, when all I have to do is just buy more batteries if I wanna keep lapping the place. I've fished hardcore before, just a rucksack with my essentials, bivvy bag/sleeping bag/Thermarest, army poncho to keep the rain at bay and a rod bag and living like that on the bank for two weeks at a time, to be perfectly honest, it's s-hit fishing like that, instead, I'm happy with my electric tractor loader up.
A mate of mine bought the Nash barra and sent it back as he takes similar to me and found it wouldn't even move after loading it up, he had the non metro [sexual] one. He bought the same barra as mine and now says he's golden.

If your mate takes the same as you that's why the Nash barrow wouldn't move it's rated to 100kg...
It's not a sh*t barrow it's just not for guys who haul 20L of water around, one huge flaw with the Carp Porter is the frame it's sh*t paper thin aluminium that will bend if your barrow falls over. (Happened to my old man first outing)
I can take all my gear + 10L of water + 10kg of bait and still not reach 100kg no idea why your gear is so heavy did you used to carry 20L of water before you got the power barrow?
