After people's honest opinion of the treb lite13ft rods looking at getting some factory builds. I'm not after a jack of all trades just a pure distance rod but retaining a little bit of fish playing action would be nice. I've been told Harrison's can go quite soft over time has anyone found this?.

I've had a set for a few years and don't think they've gone soft.
Tbh a pure distance rod that maintains any kind of enjoyable fish playing action is just not available imo. The treb lights are easy to compress for a distance rod but they're pretty awful for playing kippers. They're plenty useable and surprisingly supple but I still couldn't call it enjoyable. Might be worth looking at the Aviator instead.

The original ballista did go softer over time steve soon solved it by tweaking the blank.

Great rod if you can load them properly. And no.....they dont go soft. Ive had a set for about 8 years and they get an absolute battering 30 weekends of the year

Just steer clear of the spod rod
