Im in the market for a new 10ft rod and ive narrowed it down to the wychwood extricator and sonik xtractor. Has anyone used both these rods and how do they compare. Can you feel a difference between a normal and semi teliscopic rod.

Other rod recommendations are welcome too.

What test curve 10ft rods you looking at if it lower test curve like 2.5lb tc look at the TF Gear compact commercial 10ft 2.5lb absolute quality rod for £39.99 a rod and a joy to play fish on

I have the Xtractors in 3.5tc they are great to play fish on
They cast really well too once you get used to the shorter handles

I have them in 10ft 3.25tc, great to play fish on, very compact, I can cast accurately to about 100 yards and they're a good price. Depending on the size of water i'd potentially opt for the 3lb tc or if they do a 2.75 even better for smaller waters.

Just picked up a pair of 9ft extricators for next to nothing so interested to see what feedback they get. Brought mainly for the kids to use on day tickets and me to use on the occasional canal trip

I love my 9 footers, a joy to play fish on and cast well up to 3oz. Stopped using my 12 footers as a result.
