What kind of batterys do you guys use for bitealarms and so on? Cheap ones, good ones or something special?

Just standard 9v Duracell's for my Delks, changed every 12 months. Scales and headtorch use AAA's and I have a set of rechargeables for those (think they're EBL).

Energizer Ultimate Lithium, a bit expensive but guaranteed not to leak in your device.

Duracell in my delkims and everything else is chargeable. Headtorch , radio , light I use for winter.

In the Which tests
Aldi Active energy batteries
they are blue and silver performed as good as Duracell but a fraction of the price beating most of the big names
Some say the are rebadged Duracell as they perform the same ??

a few years ago I trawled the Internet for battery comparisons and found a couple of R/Control sites that had done in depth comparisons between brands.
As you would expect the premium brands performed well but one less expensive brand performed as well as the expensive brands. That was the IKEA alkaline range.
since then I've used them. Brilliant and half price.

The Ikea rechargeables are meant to be good as well

Yes That was the case back then but since that things moved on and the ALDI ones score a lot higher
