Hi all , looking for some advice, the ceramic has come offf the butt ring on one of my greys apex 50 rods, based in the Fens/Lincs, any recommendations of where to get repaired ? Thanks

Strange that, I bought some Greys Prodigy rods a few years ago, and one of the rods arrived with the ceramic all damaged.
Anyway, you could try your local tackle shop. My local tackle shop have this facility. Or a local rod builder, not from Lincoln so I don't know anyone. But a recent post on here led you to a list of up to date rod builders all over the UK. I think it may have been on the Harrison website, have a look. If not, come back to me and I'll see if I can find the post.

Nothing strange about it , if you bang any guide the liner will break, if you bang minimas etc they will bend or snap, go to your nearest tackle shop they will have someone or know of someone. who does repairs, simple task to put on a new guide.

my ceramic cracked on my Greys Xlerate rod.
thought i could get a new ceramic popped in - no chance.
Easier to remove and fit complete new guide.
Not expensive - my local tackle shop has a rod builder who sorted for me - couldn't notice any difference once sorted
good luck - fairly common fix for a decent rod builder

Thanks for the reply, got to travel 40 mins to a decent tackle shop but they can do for £30 as it's a 50mm butt ring.
