Afternoon all, looking to change over to braid. What's the best out there at the moment. Ideally don't want it to sink too fast but needs to sink steadily. Cheers

I use power pro for distance and Gardner hydro sink for closer.

Used sufix 832 braid for years and its been brilliant, no issues at all.

A bit off topic
I have the Gardner braid still on its spool
When I've tried a bit in water it sinks very slowly
Is Fluor a better bet , if I need something to get down and stay down

Or will the braid improve with use?

I've been using gardner kinetic . 0.27 20lb and can report it's good stuff, not stupidly thin but casts well and not prone to wind knots if you keep in below the spool lip a bit.

Depends what you want if for as to if it's better for you. I personally love the feeling of braid. If i want it to sink more i just give it a run through with tungsten putty. Fluoro leaders with braid is my preference 🙏

Katran s.b.m. sinking braid is also a good one.

I have a set of spools filled by gardner knowing that a it's a good product as a decent price not used it yet.
