I'm after a new set of rods, I've just sold my terry Hearn 12ft6 3.25tc rods , these rods where great however I just thought they lacked that extra bit of backbone I needed to reach further distances..
I'm looking at getting a set of 3.5tc /3.75tc rods but I'm torn whether I'll benefit if getting 12ft or 13ft rods
I've been looking at the FREE SPIRIT S LITE IVES , also been offered a set of HARRISON TREB LITES 12ft in 3.75tc .I'm after a set of rods that will give me that little bit more distance if needed but not to pokey !
Couid people who have experience in using both 12ft and 13ft rods give there user opinions please?

You'll get loads of different advice re brands / rods. Mine would be a call to bob at angling direct brum. u could stick to the 12 ft 6 and go for a Harrison te. Im sure bob has one there you could possibly try.
13ft 3.5/3.75 (in the main) will be so so pokey compared to what you had.

No one can really advise on casting until they actually see you cast . I cant comment on free spirit but will say i dont think you will like treb lites, i would look at the aviators much better playing action than the trebs but not as nice as the rods you sold i suspect.
