Hi i live in Cromer Norfolk were can i get to by public transport to find 30+ carp lakes thank you for your help and for reading this i would love to beat my pb

Thank you for your reply the sea fishing I'm ok with but I'm trying to beat my personal best on carp which is 29bl.9 ounces i want to try and get one of the big ones of 30+ so looking for someone who knows were there is some good lakes that hold some big fish

You'll struggle with public transport. Bus to the city then taxi to somewhere like catch 22 on day ticket

Thank you for your reply I've tried that and because of all the gear i had a cab wouldn't take me i love night fishing so had quite a bit of tackle with me and it was heavy to carry to so ended up fishing the river for the night had some nice fish

That's a hell of an ask for north Norfolk, be easier to learn to drive, if that's feasible. I'm west Norfolk and I'd hate to think I couldn't drive to get to venues. Though I can walk to a river that's meant to have carp in, I'm yet to have a go.

Theres a fantastic lake not 10 miles from you. Don't think theres any 30s in there yet but I wouldn't be worrying about that. Get your name down on the list for Gunton. Not sure how you'd get there though.... Bus go to Norwich from cromer ? If theres a stop nearby it would only be a half mile walk from the main road.

Thank you for your reply it's a bit late for me to start driving I'm in my 60s that's why i thought I'll ask and see if i could get somewhere on public transport I'd like to thank you all for your help and taking the time to replying to my thread

Thank you for your reply i think i know the lake your on about its not that deep and there's a lot of weed in it i have fished it when it was Day ticket and had some nice carp and tench all the best from Mick

I've been fishing since I was 6 years old so i know abit about it my best carp is 29.12 my best barbel is 12.4 I've got all the gear for carp or river and sea fishing just can't get to the carp lakes i can get to the Broads at wroxham by train but would love to go to a lake for the carp be nice to make friends on here that would like to take me with them I'd pay my way thank you for reading this hope to make friends
