I had one but found the buzzbars weren't wide enough for my liking found if you didn't have the reel handles in the certain position when you lifted the middle rod of the pod would catch the other reel . That's the only thing that let it down for me I was using the ultegra 5500 xtb reels on it

I have one and like it I use medium big baitrunner
And it is tight but manageable
I fish a lake of stands and even with rear legs fully extended
It does not point the rods down enough
Easy to assemble and take down

The buzz bars are 12 and 13.5 have you tried putting reels forward towards the buzzers I use 7 and 8 for three rods not solar pod with xtc reels they fit just if I put them forward and extend pod right out I also was thinking of getting this pod for lightness as mine is s/steel also can't you put the longer bank sticks on the back to lower the tips

. . .are they flimsy or solid with the legs in the ground . . .thinking of swopping one of my trusty quattros to save weight . . assume its best to go for the longer leg (6&9) version?

There OK I guess.
I had one but took it back and got the solar worldwide pod-much heavier, sturdy and solid compared. If you have never had a solid pod before then I think you would like it-I just didn't like the fact that no matter what you cannot get your rod tips down

Also the bag the pod comes in the slots that the buzzbars slot into are not big enough to except if you have your butt rest or quick release adaptors on them poor thought out design on the bag

. . .looking at pics you would presumably need to buy a separate buzz bar / pod bag if you were to keep alarms and butt grips permanently fixed?
