I have been let down previously in various "hit n hold " situations on french rivers over the years with various hooks straightening or snapping , i have just taken delivery of my apex size 4 ,continental 2xx and they look like they will be up to the job , quite a thick gauge of steel and seem sharp enough out of the box .anyone got any experience with them ?

Wouldn't mind them in a size 2 though !

Seen a few on SM pretty much saying the same as you but two out of the three are spunkmonkey fanboys so to be expected.

Iv'e used the Korda before , the apex look slightly thicker gauge wire though , i'm not 100 % sure though , i thought that i had some , they must be in France , with the majority of my tackle , i have some "ats continental snag hooks" arriving soon then i will see which is "the Daddy " when they arrive

Yep , i have some in France , not used them to date , when i manage to get there , or if , i will test them against my latest purchases , i think that they were green in colour !

It's just a copy of the continental centurion (now called the ATS Continental Snag Hook). I would check them out if brute strength is the priority.
