Solar Benelux told me:
They are on their way to us and arrive at the end of the month .. so say a week / a week and a half later at the shops
Saw a Yt today of the new Sonik axs 2 man, big bivvy but what a hell to setup; wanted to buy this first but the Solar is more interesting with its 3 rib system + one of the few large bivvies with such a small transport size

Tempest 200 is 1.7 high and is mahoosive . . .guy turned up on my syndy one weekend with his wife, kid and dog and it swallowed them and three bedchairs. . .
To be fair I thought it looked a little unstable (it was windy) however I assume all bivvies of this size are going to wobble a bit . . .

I seriously thought about an ex Army 9x9 Tent, which I used hundreds of times in the service but you need a trailer to transport the damn thing!
All your ideas are considered, any thoughts on the Fort Knox?

I've got a big old fox thing I picked up on eBay cheap as chips, it's called a Euro Warrior Hood, it's basically a massive pram hood style bivvy. If you can find one it would be perfect for what you describe. Only drawback is the weight. It's about 30kg and that's without the over wrap 😂

Just watched the YT videos on the Tempest, I am impressed with it, this looks like the way to go, only thing I'm worried about is that I prefer a full winter skin but this big boy is favourite at the moment....Many Thanks.

Very spacious inside. Height is 162cm so just under your requirement, not far off. Like what you require, i bought this over other bivvies for the extra height it offers, as i am after back surgery, unfortunately not very successful back surgery. Check their facebook page, it's on special sale this week too so you can save a bit, normally 300 euro, now 270 euro. I bought one recently but not pitched it fully yet so can't comment on overall look and feel of it just yet.

Yes the XXL looks great. The one negative about the Leopard is its weight, but I compensated for this by the understanding I have no real need to ever have to carry it more than 10 or 20 meters, so it's not a big issue for me personally.
Looking at front page of the Lucx website, as from today they are doing an Easter 10% discount on everything until 11th April, so price looks even better now.

Agreed, the XXL appeals to me, weight is not a problem as all the venues I fish have peg side parking and large pegs. The next problem would be, do you deal with the shop direct or a second party ie Amazon? I am lucky enough to speak German having lived there for 14 yrs so language is no barrier. Thank you very much.
