I really like the look of this mat or something similar that packs down small. I was just concerned it looked a little flimsy and may not be well padded enough.

Has anyone used this or recommend something similar?

I need something that will pack down as small as possible and has a bag and capable of taking fish up to 40lb (I should be so lucky)

I got a TFG pop up cradle last year, it's pretty decent and it was only £26. Nice, light, and pretty compact. About 2" padding on the bottom.. A 40 would look good in it....

Just had a quick look and I can't see them in stock anywhere, but other manufacturers do similar.

I really like the look of the new ESP Mat. Flat design but with draw cords that pull all the sides up into a cradle design, lightweight and rolls up nice and compact.....ticks a lot of boxes.

That does look good,so does the trakker insta mat.I like how the case is the base and the frame folds up and stores inside

i must admit, like you. i really do like the look of the new esp mat,
with the cord to fold in the sides makes it ,
and rolls up nice,
but also just had a look at the new solar tackle mat, deep foam but with a slight inset with a slight edge all around the sides,
but for me, the esp mate does it for me, as you can carry the fish in it, fold the handles and it incaeses the fish,
and the prices for both seen half decent
about £60/£70 ?

Yes I have the Sonik SK Tek Compacta Cradle the base is a nice thick padding on it the side walls are flexi but do spring back fine decent quality cradle for the money
