Hi I need advice on what rods to use at places like B1 &. B2 at Linear.
Feel that my current 3.25 rods can't get the distance and wonder if the nice people on here could advise.
I don't have a big budget so be gentle, thanks in advance.

What rods do you have, and how far do you want to cast? most 3.25TC rods can be capable of casting a long way.
There are other factors - its not just the rods that will get you more distance.
Reels (are you using big pit reels?)
Main line (can you reduce diameter - possibly consider tapered mainline if leaders are banned)
Technique (very important!)

I have Sonik Vader x rods, Shimano Speedmaster 14000 reels and 16lb Fox Exocet with a 40lb braided leader 3 oz leads and aa overhead thump cast.

You won't need a leader with that set up, and your tackle will easily get you where you want, casting lessons maybe.
Oh and also 3.5 lead be better.

All of that will be fine to get the required distance at Linear. You don't always have to fish at range there though, IMO.
A lot to do with casting distances is technique.
If you are using a braided leader then get a casting finger stall. I can't tell you how much more confident I was a hitting casts when wearing one.
I'd also say the braided leader isn't required myself. I was fishing Fox Soft Steel straight through, in 16lbs which is the same diameter as the Exocet, and was hitting 85+ yards, using a 3oz distance lead. I could have gone further, and I have little experience in distance casting, compared with many on here.

Loads of helpful videos with Terry and Mark on Youtube. Then get to a lake/field and practice. Your gear is perfectly adequate for casting 100yards.
Also as everyone does that at Linear try something different. It's not all about 130yards and being as accurate as Tom Maker.

Always used 3.25lb tc rods at linear. Last time i fished B2 the fish were in the bowl well out in the middle. After struggling for 2 days i thought sod it, wrapped a zig @34 wraps and gave it hell. Managed 5 in very short time, the rods were Wychwood C301s. As in any sport, practice makes perfect. Get some casting done in open fields.
