Most of my club lakes have Spomb/Spod bans so I'm looking for an alternative way of getting beds of bait/particle in.
Method feeder is an option but thinking the old fashioned groundbait approach. What's the max range you can fire balls out and what's a decent catapult to do it with?
Could you get through a loophole and use a groundbait sling? If not I would go for 50-60yds with a good catapult and the right size groundbait balls and consistency. Others who have more experience may suggest a greater range with a catty however.

Yeah have been tempted by a launcher, you dont see them used so naturally assumed they were a pain in the back side.

Trev Tomlin's whopper droppers do come up second hand occasionally..they are no longer made though.
Drennan do a model called Groundbait caty x long range that has a similar pouch. Replacement pouches are available for about £4 if one wanted to convert a suitable frame.
