Hi someone uses fox retreat+ 2 man bivvy? Can I have some experience?

Haven't used the retreat but have the r series xl 2 man. Very similar bivvy size wise and much less expensive. If it's only going to be used a few times a year, it's well worth considering.

Have seen 1 in the rain that leaked at the seams, also a hell to put on
Also saw the R series Xl: Cloth material is poor wouldn't recommend it if you want to use a bivvy a lot, there are better bivvies on the market.

I had the retreat 2 man plus overwrap , big enough to park a small car in. Easily get 3 bedchairs in , pretty decent bivvy really , bit of a ball ache to put up and the wrap an even bigger ball ache to pull on , but I guess you don't buy a bivvy like that for speed

Thing is there are bivvies with similar size that you can put up in half the time and are even better quality

I already bought it, I had no problem setting it up. I was just commenting on who it was working for. So far it seems very good to me for quality, but it hasn't been used much yet

I have the 1 man with capsule and overwrap for use on longer, static, stays abroad.
+'s Good quality material - pegging points good - not had a leak in bivvy or overwrap yet (touch wood) - find it a good size for the purpose i bought it for - dependable.
-'s Heavy to barrow long distances - hated that the overwrap had mesh panels as std , so swapped them for clear - Lots of ribs for its size - was too much money for its design at the time was released.
