A week ago I left 2 of my Daiwa Tournament 500T
reels at a local car body repair shop, just picked them up,
I don't need to post photos as it would be the same as
looking at new reels, one had some chips on the stem
above the lever and the other was far worse, but now
both look like new, to say well pleased would be an under
statement, I asked if he would do others if anyone was
interested, he said yes he would, he is in East Devon.

£60. but that would vary depending on the work needed
and if not local take into account P&P both ways, for me

Good price too, far cheaper than new reels that's for sure.

I didn't, I had some mixed by another
repairer who was not very helpful so
I took that to T & T and left it all to him,
originally I took the reel to a place in
Exeter who could scan and supply the
paint, but when I got there they said
it had to be flat and bigger, even if I
had the paint I would have had to do
the repair myself, letting T & T do the
job is by far the better option.

I had mine scanned, there's no RAL code.
The match was spot on though.

I had a couple of cans knocked up.
I can't remember what they cost, it wasn't expensive.

This makes me wonder if i should go down this route to repair a chrome bail spring cover i need doing
One of mine has a deep dent in it and the part has been discontinued you cant get it anywhere not even the reel repair places have it
Maybe a body shop would get chrome repairs cheaper or have another method of doing it then im aware of
The only other thought i had on this was a plating company to strip back the chrome and re plate it
