Hi Guys,
Recently started rolling my own pop ups etc and my OCD is driving me nuts as I can't get the baits as round as I want.
I've debated on buying a rolling table, so my awfully bizarre question is :do I need a boilie gun in order to use a rolling table or can I roll thin enough strips which will work on the table?
Looking at 14/16mm baits.
Thanks

Hi. For small volumes you don't need a boilie gun. Just buy the small sizes gardener rolling table with the matching rollaball table. This double sided H shaped roller will produce the correct sized sausage.

The easy answer is no, but then you've complicated it by saying you have OCD about your pop ups not being round
Personally, I know where you're coming from, not sure it's important to the fish but I get it.
If you can't regulate the size of the sausage you can't regulate the roll on the table, you will end up with all sorts of shapes, some round if you get it right, some round with holes in if you have too much, some barrels if you don't have enough. Even with a gun the 2 ends are normally scrapped back into the mix, for me anyway, as are any crap ones.
So the question is, will you be able to cope with none round boilies?

😂😂😂 ok maybe not OCD as such, but the ones with a flat spot make me
Cringe, but as you say, don't think it matters to the fish....

i have used the rolling sausage tables and they work ok and will be fine for popups
for doing larger amount a gun is what you want.
the no nonsense foil and applicator gun from screw fix with a cut nozzle is ideal imo and only 16.00

It would definitely make it easier and your pumped out baits more consistently round, so yeah, I'd run with a bait gun to help your ocd 👍

For me no caused trigger finger. And it's very painful like breaking your fingers each day. Needed steroid injections to reduce it. The gun wasnt the first cause but definitely bought it on.
