Hi, I am looking for a 12ft spod rod for general use up to 120yrds.
I have a 13ft treb spod which is an animal and I am in 2 minds whether to sell it and get an aviator but thats another story..
So to compliment my 12ft rods, I am thinking the Harrison Torrix spod?
Where does this fit between the treb and aviator? I want something lighter and easier , I am lead to believe it would give me that. Crucially it needs to be 12ft to fit in my 12ft rod bag and smaller more intimate waters. I have also been looking at the fox x5 spod. This would be a closer match to my current fishing rods 'fox horizon x' but I wouldnt be surprised if I swap them out for 12ft torrix in the not too distant future, had them a number of yrs now.
Have read the balista spod is gd, only trouble is I can only find it in 13ft?
Thoughts welcome.

Previous threads generally come out with the Aviator Spod being much more user friendly that the Treb spod, due to most people not be able to compress the Treb fully. Others will be able to advise better on the differences between the Torrix and Aviator models, but the Aviator will be my next spod rod for sure.

What about the Shimano Intensity spod? If what the Shimano guys demoing the rods are anything to go by, looks to be very good.

I got the torrix spod last year and really like it very accurate at hitting spots and very powerful rod to use i would recommend getting one

Thanks guys, I'm going to get the 12 ft torrix..
I might sell my treb 13 and swap for aviator 13 in the future.

Just seen this.. After sleeping on it I though f..it i have now ordered the 12ft aviator.. I hate to feel like I should have got the better item so swapped it
I might even find i van cast the 12ft aviator further than the 13ft treb in which case I will use it for everything. I need to find a big open field I can cast in to see which one performs best.. will be very interesting.
