I have an old century r1 rod that i want to use as a floater rod. It has a cracked but eye. I read something recentky about being able to heat the frame and pop a replacement lining in fairly easily. Is that the case? And if so best place to get a replacement inner from. The frame has x3 stamped on it, and believe it is a century ring

I don't know if this is any help mate but i think the tacklebox have a machine that pushes new inners in, i tried to do a kigan 3d earlier in the year with no luck so i ended up rewhipping abother one on lol!

Cheers mate. Ill give them a call and find out. The crack is only tiny and on the side, doesnt move around and not sure if it will cause any issues. But if i can get it replaced id rather not take the chance

tackle box will do it while you wait.
used to be cost of the ring itself +£5 to fit the liner, they also glue them to stop the liners coming out.
Cannot fault the service, had a few done over the years.
