Hi all, my current powerpack as unfortunately died so on the lookout for a new one I'm torn between atom 78000 mah and the fox 96k. Just after some feedback off people who own them. Or if there's a clear winner on which is better.

Also if anyone owns either one could you let me know how many charges you get charging mobile phones or tablets. Tia

Atom is great. Get close to a week of charges on my s10 and I'm pretty heavy user.

Im surprised so many people buy these, most fo the guys on my lake use 18v power tool batteries with a 10 quid usb converter on them, only really useful if you own power tools/batteries. Other than that ive always bought anker products, they seem to last a long time and never break. they do a variety of sizes, and specialise in batteries and portable power. I appreciate you asked about specific models but just thought might save a few quid if you already have the batteries.

Yarp a few pals use power tool batteries and I've been using Anker power packs for over a decade now.

Cheers guys yeah I'm liking the look of the atom. And thanks for the anker possibility. Main thing for me is just having the one powerbank for the 3 day- week trips. I have owned a rav power in the past and i don't know if I had a dodgie one but it took ages to charge up the bank. I will have a look at the Amber ones but preferably looking for one that can take a good hammering charging phones and tablet and the occasional bait boat charge on longer trips.

Yeah a few of my friends use power took batteries. But I own nothing like that

I agree the power pac atom is a brilliant bit of kit, that is the one I recommend bud. I use it for my longer sessions 4 days plus but for my shorter sessions 2/3 days I she one I bought from curry's for around £40 still has 40000mah just much more compact I don't like taking a lot of stuff for the shorter sessions

I have the fox and used it for the first time in France in November during cold conditions

Lasted the whole week with capacity to spare. Used it for my iPhone, iPad, camera and bivvy light and can highly recommend it

Cheers guys I've gone for the fox as atom were out of stock everywhere I checked. Managed to get one for under 200.

Have a look at allpowers on Amazon or eBay. Look amazing for the price! Far bigger capacity than the carp brands.

Has anyone use one of these? A few people saying battery died after 6 months.

Would be looking to charge a 80w laptop with it....

Just seen angling direct have the powerpacs atom on sale for 88 quid if anyone's interested.
