Opening bid was £6 and was for collection in person only.
I bid the £6 and mine was the only bid.
Item is now showing in my basket along with pay now ‘paypal'.
I've messaged the seller to ask for address for me to pick the item up from but had no réponse.
I would have thought payment on collection.
Should I be concerned about negative feedback if it is I don't pay by PayPal or have I got to pay it and then hope I'm forwarded the address to pick the item up from?.

I believe its the seller that selects the option "paid on collection". Then it will give you the option to leave feedback etc. You shouldn't need to do anything else

Does the ad state "payment on collection"? If not then they may well be expecting you to pay via PayPal to enable a distanced collection maybe? Don't worry about negative feedback as a buyer, it doesn't mean a thing and a seller can't actually leave negative feedback for a buyer (and it actually show as a negative)

Wait until they do respond, how long has it been?
If they don't respond maybe it's one of those poor sellers who was expecting more money and now doesn't want to sell.
Whatever happens sellers cannot give negative feedback to buyers so no need to worry about that.
As Ian says If the listing does not specify payment on collection then maybe use Paypal as your money will be safe.

I'd much prefer him to message me and if he asks for PayPal payment then not only could I pay it but I'd have his message as proof to what he asked.
