I was a student in Manchester almost 40 yrs ago. Lived in Levenshulme and used to fish at Gorton lower reservoir. It was lovely but I was only into coarse / match fishing at that time. Might be worth have a walk around ?

Not sure you'll like what you see if you walk round Gorton Reser at varying times of day. Personally I'd be hopping on the M60 for 20 minutes to South Manc/Cheshire border, also plenty of waters in Stockport on club tickets.

I would get your name down for the Prince Albert or Lymm tickets. Loads of waters around the south Manchester area and waiting list not too long.
