I have a pair of these. Full cork handles, beautiful rods with a great playing action and backbone. Took me a while getting used to them (i have a set of aviators for bigger waters) but im well impressed. Ihave paired them with 5500 XTD reels and love the set up.

I'm thinking of getting a set of these for one of my syndicates it's a nice small intimate water with little cut throughs and channels. My 12fts are a bit over kill so was looking at a set

I've got some and they're wicked. Had fish to 27lb no problem at all, plenty of power.

I have the cotswold Aquarius 2 rod holdall. Got it from Johnson Ross and fits 2 made up 9' creepers perfectly

9ft? Didn't think they did them in that length buddy... Mine are 10ft (Hi S 2 3/4)... I have three of them - use on small waters and for margin work. Didn't buy them for stalking, but obviously get used for that too. Usual Free Spirit quality - lovely progressive action and plenty of power in reserve when you need it. The action is similar to my 12ft ES rods actually. Very slim blanks and the cork handles are very nice, also slim and not too long either. I pair mine with either Shimano 5000 REs or Castizm QD's, depending on the distance I am fishing. They cast very accurately too. I'll happily use them up to 60-70 yards, no issues at all. At 10ft, they are also handy for swims where you have trees above your head, making casting easier and they're light, so if you haver a walk, rather handy. Only one negative - as Free Spirit use different rod builders, there can be variances in the rods, namely the ring spacing on the tip sections. I found this when I bought mine, but a quick call to Johnson Ross had me back in the shop and they very kindly dragged out their entire stock and we managed to find 3 rods that matched up. I guess it doesn't matter that much, as a lot of people I suspect only buy one, but if you intend using them as I do, i.e. as main rods and as a pair or even three, I think having matching rods matters - to me anyway. In summary, if you want some high-end 10ft carp rods, look no further!
