Well went and had a look at new rods today. I had a look at some wolf rods. The question is have any of you guys used them or got a set or no anything about them ? The ones I had a play with seemed a nice rod. But I no nothing about them and not heard of them. Looked at few other rods like the Harrison rods which I didn't like to mutch. And also the century rods which I think I've found a set I like. But to be honest I've walked away more confused what I won't now

What are you looking for in the rods?
Harrisons are quite popular on here and elsewhere. Which blank did you look at and what didnt you like about it?
Dont know about wolf rods but if you specify which model, someone may be able to help.

Ive got a set of focal system century rods which are 12 foot 3lb test curve. 40 ml but rings . Use them for margin fishing to a descent distant. Thay are very forgiving on the tip nice for playing fish in the margins. But have plenty of power for getting baits out a good distance. I'm wonting 3lb 1/2 test curve 50 ml butt rings. Don't really won't 13 foot rods. Also I was looking at the century รง2 rods. 12 foot 3 and half test curve 50 ml butt rings

Why 50ml butt rings ? Sounds like the rods you have do everything you want ?

Just fancy an upgrade. Wish I'd got a 3 and a half test curve with 50 ml rings when I'd got the rods I've got now.just won't something with a bit more back bone but something that's not like an iron rod when playing fish

With Wolf struggling financially at the moment (under administration) i would be carefull getting their rods.
I would go for Harrison, Daiwa or Century myself.

My mate has them, he says there great, however with them going into administration there value will plummet and you will soon be able to pick them up cheap. I would always go free/spirit had the other premium rods and I don't reckon they come anywhere near F/s.

Thanks for the info guys. I wasn't told about them going into administration. When I was looking at spending a lot of money. So glad you guys told me.
