It has been on my trial list. Remember reading some research on it as a feed additive where results was positive.

I've experimented with the oleoresin, and the extract (Gingerol) - the latter is interesting

Sturla - I have a paper on the extract. It's interesting reading.

Used it in powder form with cinnamon in a combo in one of the best bait I realized, fished with it from 2003 til nutrabaits change a couple of ingredients in it and the catch rate plummeted. Caught with it my biggest carp I had from cassien as well.

Nice. Ginger and cinnamon is a lovely combo. Was this in the enervite mix by the way? What sort of levels were you using? I tend to keep it fairly low at 10g and 10g per kilo. I did very well using ginger oil in combination with two NB flavours in a fish meal about 25 years ago.

That's the level I use it 10 g. +10 g.
In a version with liver powder I liked to add a bit of erbs as thime, in conjunction with oe "Spanish red thime", caught a few with it as well, especially during the winter time.
I don't know about the enervit mix.

Another thing that comes to mind is that, after the first good results, in an attempt to make an improvement I changed the ginger with garlic (even the soy flour and the csl, to be fair) and it's been the worst year in the lake I fished at the time. When I come back to the original recipe the caught returned the same as they were it.
Are you sure?
