Anyone know anyone that will do this? Ive already asked army andy and he wont.
I want the groundsheet modified to be the same as the new fox frontier bivvy, so the front middle part where the door is can be peeled back.

I would like this aswell mate but not a chance am I ever going to buy a fox bivvy again with there customer service so I got to try find someone who can do it to my tempest groundsheet, think it's a very good idea

If I find somewhere I'll let you know mate. Was surprised army Andy wouldn't do it as I imagine it's pretty simple if you have the knowledge and equipment. But he says he doesn't make groundsheets so imagine he doesn't have the materials there. It's going to need something an inch bigger each way. So the cut out bit won't be big enough.

Ok Mate thank you like you say I reckon if you had the equipment it should be pretty easy to do, it's only a section cut out and Velcro by the look of it

cant you just fold it back anyway ? or put a bivvy mat on it

After seeing an earlier post where Sundance talked about making a groundsheet from some tarp I did just that for my Tempest v2 . The straight edge sits along the tension strap line and leaves a foot or so of ground there for spilling water etc without getting it in your bivvy. Also weighs next to nothing compared to the actual Trakker groundsheet and so far seems a lot tougher as well. I suppose you could go all in and add velcro etc but I haven't bothered.

I'm one of these that prefers to fish as light as possible I think it's completely pointless taking the kitchen sink mate, so if I don't have to take a bivvy mat because it doesn't fit in my bivvy bag I'm not taking one lol I agree you could just fold it back but then you got to unpeg the front and also the whole of the front groundsheet goes back not just the section you walk on

Having watched the Fox video showing the "flap" on the groundsheet, that is not rocket science to do yourself. Just cut the flap with a stanley knife, sew an overlap of some groundsheet or tarpaulin material to the flap, and then sew some velcro down the two sides of the flap and groundsheet.
To do the sewing either use a Sailmakers needle and some good strong braid or nylon line about 6lb or use a "Speedy Stitcher" off Ebay.
Job would probably take less than an hour or two if you go steady.
And if you know anyone with a heavy duty sewing machine, probably no longer than 30 minutes to do.
Anything like this or repairs, I do myself, usually whilst sat on the bank fishing

You havent seen me with a sewing needle or stanley knife mate, ill end up with one less finger and stitching to rival something a kid at nursery would have done
