I've ordered an rt4 and was told delivery would be about 8 weeks. Just wondering if anyone had ordered one recently and what the delivery time was, if it actually took the 8 weeks or not

If you get it in 8 weeks you are doing well , the have a facebook page ,lots of good info their defiantly worth joining .

Friend ordered one earlier in the year think it was 13 weeks delivery, wasn't impressed.. no communication, not even that it had shipped, just an email from the courier saying they'd missed him etc. Boat fine but service poor.

Doesn't sound good. I parted with a fair amount of money and didn't even get a confirmation email or receipt emailed to me so took a few days of phone calls to get through to someone to be told my order has been accepted and not to worry.
A few days later I got sent an email with a receipt. No information on timescales etc though

Severe delays being caused by toslon and other suppliers........
Been waiting since first week in August.... still not got a delivery date but should be here next week....
Long delays but can you buy a better boat from anywhere?
Too many companies are still blaming Covid for p#ss poor service when they have had 9 months to get to grips with the situation... sorry but carplounge's suppliers are shambolic and need to sort their sh#t out.

That's a long time to wait. I don't like waiting for next day Amazon deliveries let alone 3 months for a boat that cost a fortune.

Mine took about 10 weeks I think.
Yes it's a long wait, but the boat is fantastic, the amount of errors on boats/packages that get sent out is tiny compared to others. One of my mates got a AT microcat mk3 with the blue sounder. Other than the definition on the blue sounder being poor, the boat has been replaced due to a leak, the replacement got returned due to it leaning towards one side when sat in the water, he got a replacement for that too. Ended up getting a refund and bought the procat which seems fine so far.
CL have just sent out new chargers for the range extender to those who purchased a boat within a certain timeframe due to a couple of people receiving the wrong charger. Mine was fine, but still received a new one.

13th July, was given a date of about 8 weeks originally, then was advised that they had tested it, then they moved and it went out in the first shipment after they moved.
This year I've been on a small lake, and some of the other guys smaller boats have struggled in the wind on there. I fished a 35 acre lake last weekend in strong winds, the RT4 coped really well even with waves that had white horses breaking.
I'm very glad I chose it over others that are on the market. I have 2 x 8.7Ah batteries, had 3 rods out, 2 of which were at about 120 yds out. Did some exploratory work too, didn't need to use the backup battery. It's such a well specified boat, remote battery switching, light intensity can be adjusted, main beam, 4kg capacity, 2 hook releases. And the wi-fish is awesome. Will upgrade to autopilot next year too I reckon, just for the ease of hitting the same spot without having to mark your line.
The battery charger is also 12/240v, so can use a leisure battery to charge on the bank should you need to.

Yeah it will be worth the wait. I got the one with the dragonfly and auto pilot. I just hate parting with money if you don't get your item at the point of sale. Hopefully they get back on track and get boats out a bit quicker
