Been carp fishing for about 18 months now and really getting into it, but had enough of my poxy 20 quid NGT rod pod.
What would people suggest between a detachable goal post kit (eg the ultimate stainless steel 3 rod goal post kit) or NGT nomadic pod?

ive got the ngt profiler pod very sturdy you can also use it as goalposts best of both worlds

I use a goalpost setup but only on the back rests, if you have any sort of gripping butt rests (which nearly all are) then that is where all the strain is on a take not the front bar.

the nomadic pod is actually a pretty sturdy and decent pod, I'm currently using a cygnet quicklock pod because i can use it as just bank sticks and bars or as a pod if needed and the whole setup doesn't take up too much space.
goalpost is a bit more sturdy especially on the rear as said above thats where most the pressure is exerted especially with gripping butt rests.

Given the choice, I would have both; a rod pod that I can use without the central boss, and the buzzer bars set up on goalpost banksticks.
If the bank is hard, staging, etc then I can use the goalpost pod. If the bank is softer, goalpost buzzer bars on sticks.
Believe it or not, probably not fashionable, but Leeda do the Rogue 3 in 1 rod pod for 50 odd notes

I use a jag super compact black mk2 pod, can be used as a pod, goalposts style or just normal bank sticks
