Fantastic social , commercial lake that holds a load of great Carp and Grassies and some epic Catfish.

Booked solid for the next 2 to 3 years I believe.

The one on the goncourt complex? If so, their website has some details else mostly I think the info is on Facebook.

Lots of fish, some decent sized too, along with cats and classed as an easy water. Very good for a social, you all fish from a central point that has a very comfy lodge type seating area with tv, American fridge freezer, sofa and table etc.

I'm on there on the 31st of this month, I know it can produce a lot of fish just wondering if it's certain pegs

Theres 4 or 5 swims located centrally in the lake, decent set up as with most her lakes, i only fished it for a couple of nights and struggled tbh. From memory there was a catch log there which will tell you which are the most prolific swims but i guess you wanna know before you and your pals have the draw

The 2 left pegs off the causeway did the most when we were there in august a few years ago.We had over 170 between 4of us fish most were grass carp and only 1 of us fished all the time as we were sick of them 2 of us didnt fish at night at all.Bait was the feature didnt matter where it was the more we put in the more we caught some days didnt put a rod out at all.Brilliant easy lake for a social although we had to reel in for that.If you like grass carp you will love it i didnt as i dont mind a odd one but continual runs before you even clip up became hard work especially in the heat with everything that goes with grass carp ie murder on the mat or in the net even double 25mm baits didnt stop them.Out of that we prob had 15 mirrors/commons to 50lb and a few cats to 90.

Thanks for your feedback , hoping the grass carp have slowed down now it's getting colder .
There was no mention of them on the last few catch reports ( or people didn't record them)

The best peg is the peg not on the peninsula at all but in the bay at the far end of the lake. Your a bit Billy no mates up there and are outside the fence (and therfore security) and away from your mates. I went a few years ago in April . Moved there on the Thursday afternoon, as I was struggling. In 2 nights I had 1 x 60lb 2 x 40lb 3x30 and 2 x 20lb. I think the fish shoal up in that bay as there is no pressure. Fish far bank margin along the tree line. As I said your on your own up there away from the roundal and the social aspects of the lake.

I fished the same area as you but, from the Social area in the left hand swim, the fish certainly like to hover around that far margin.

Don't think you will they are booked up so far ahead don't think they can move anymore people than they already have and can't give anymore money back otherwise the complex will cease to exist .Wonder if you can pm them about pretending to be going to a work party there if you get pulled I know people were doing this at other lakes when everyone was locked down. After all you are doing no harm isolating on a lake
