Noob first timer here, be gentle
I've had a good look through the forum but couldn't find much in the way about this particular fishery, hopefully I've been thorough enough (!) but I was just wondering if anyone had any intel (successful baits, rigs etc) or even recent catch reports?
I'm booked in for mid November with a couple of mates so we were hoping to get ahead of the curve but there's not
a lot out there I can find on t'internet.

Yep, can see this is a tricky to obtain information on type of venue, unless nobody has genuinely fished it. I've just booked myself on there for a lake exclusive with two mates and was hoping to gain some knowledge on the place. There is a Youtube video of the Mistral team fishing there, which was interesting.
Anybody else fished here? Anybody got an opinion of the place and willing to throw a piece of knowledge my way? much appreciated.

I've fished here in and off over the years, it was one of the RMC lakes and the a day ticket for some time under the new owners and I also had a winter ticket recently.
Margins always seemed best for me, either near side or far side tucked up against the bushes.
It's not a hard lake but like all small lakes can be a bit moody.
I used to like fishing over a bed of bait, they liked particles on there.

It's changed a bit over the years, the end of the lake furthest from the lodge is the newer part. It will have matured over the years but was a bit barren when I was there so I've never fished that end.
I really like the end near to the lodge, it's the widest point in the lake and there's loads of nice margin spots and open water spots out in the bowl of water.
It's definitely a nice lake to have on an exclusive, it was never busy when I fished it but could soon get difficult in that area as some swims point towards the same open water when fishing straight out.
There was some weed but not too much, not very deep at all but some nice 6-8ft deep spots just off treelines around the bowl of the lake in the widest area... and some margin spots were so clean and only a couple of feet deep so you could see them from the other side.
I guess they still allow baitboats, handy for getting under the trees in some spots but not essential, my dad used to use that mainly but I preferred two rods left and right just lowering them in or under arming then a healthy amount of hemp and things like that. .
Apart from one swim on the right of the lodge that bank is all out of bounds. If you go walk round to the left of the lodge, you have that large bowl shape area, I used to tuck a rod under each of the nearside bushes and one out in the open water if it looked good.
Further round that side you come to the first point swim, a good one to fish across to the other side in a little bay, that's where the shallow margin spot that could do with a baitboat was. The trees had hollows in them, those seemed to have become hotspots at the time because I guess they saw a lot of bait.
Further up it becomes narrower, and kind of begs to be fished over to the out of bounds side with the overhanging trees which looked so good.
It always stuck me how high they built the lodge, definitely no fishing off the deck there. I guess it's right next to the Thames so maybe it had to be that way in case of flooding.
