Any recommendations for a rod to use as both marker and spod rod along with matching reel please gents

Daiwa longbow df x45 spod&marker is a very nice rod. Weights next to nothing, well balanced and 50mm rings. Everything you need

Reel daiwa emblem spod reel. Tough as nails. New one looks lovely but not tried it. I have old model and no matter the abuse thrown at it reel works flawlessly

Shimano Tribal TX Intensity 12ft Spod Marker with Ultegra XTD Spod Reel. Awesome combo I've hit 140yds with.

Good Shout mate, cracking rods those longbows - i would swap the emblem for a Shimmy spod reel (better retrieve and line lay).

Shimano txa 13ft spod rod! Effortlessly hits 35 wraps +, light and a soft tip. About £80. Totally recommended with any decent reel.

Cannot recommend the Fox Horixon x3 spod/marker enough, it's an incredible tool, for around £85/£100 as well, I've never been able to cast anything so far, I can cast them so much further than I can my Horizon x5's lol and the reels are the Aerlex spods, which are spot on too

I use a free spirit spod rod for my marker and spod work it's a great rod, definitely works well doing both. I use it with a shimano xtb spod reel, with 50lb whiplash straight through
