so strictly speaking this reel will mainly be used for Spinning for Pike but also some floater fishing next summer for carp !
Does anyone have a LT ( Light and Tough ) Ninja Reel ? I want a 4000 sized reel and after looking it seems I will need the 6000 sized LT which is the same as the old 4000 sized.
I have found conflicting reviews though on whether the LT are better or worse than the original Ninjas ?
Anyone had one for a while that can give me a review ?

I got one for my youngest stepson on a float rod (4000 size).It is a cracking little reel and very smooth.He absolutely loves it and I'm very impressed with it

Thanks - wondering if the black/gold are the same as the red/black just a different colour.
Im sure I read a thread where someone said the black/gold were actually just Crossfire bodies and lesser quality than the red/black but cannot find that thread / post anywhere.

As far as I'm aware they are the same reel just different colours.
They are fantastic for the money, however 2 things need modifying to make them suitable for carp (in my opinion).
1. The line clips need upgrading and can be done by using south coast custom gs3000 line clips, these will require assume modification to fit.
2. Upgrade the clutch washers to carbon, on mine the clutch sticks initially. In yet to do this one but it's in the pipeline.

You dont need the 6000 size for spinning or floater fishing. I havent got the ninja but i have the ballistic lt's and the new certate 19 lt's. The lt stands for light and tough. A 4000 lt is the same size as a standard daiwa 3000 reel so the body is smaller but the spool still holds the same amount of line as a 4000 size.

thanks - don't think I will be clipping up to cast with these so line clip should be ok...
for the washers have you found any ? only found 2 lots - 1 in UK but seller away and unable to purchase and the others in USA
